Children should be taught soft skills like in-dependent thinking, values and team-work, he said.At Davos, several world lead-ers expressed their concerns on the current education system. The question at large remains, where do you address this from and how? The foundation - K-12 educa-tion is filled with syllabus, dead-lines, and assessment. How can we break free from the chains of constraints and move towards this global need? As school leaders, we now need to re-look at how can we im-prove the way we teach. What's the purpose of Education in the 21st century?Knowledge is No More Extended Wealth- It's Democratised. Knowledge is no more extended wealth! It's available and accessible to every strata of society! The pen-etration of internet and smartphone has made it is easier than ever to ac-cess the much. The knowledge is out there, and no longer needs a human medium to interact. This in itself is a power equalising opportunity. Why? Because the teacher is not the ex-pert, students are learning on their own through these tools and techs.Students are moving away from the solid confinements of class-es and are exploring on their own without the need of a school. This is empowering and scary at the same time! One may ask if knowledge is accessible outside the four walls, why do we need schools?
