The word had no real relevance in the life of an average Indian. As weird as it may sound to some, it just means `Inexperienced' or `a newbie'. Indians have come a long way and there would be more millennials and Gen Zs around you than you expect, who are exposed to the slang culture. When I started gaming, this was a parallel language based on English and it would be safe to say that I was a `noob' at it.Before we talk about the markets, lets establish an important point - India is new to Gaming. And with that, the ungoverned structure so far has created its own chal-lenges in the long run. Gaming did not gain a foothold in India due to the lack of access to platforms and its low social acceptance as an entertainment platform. Howev-er, Gamers are the heart of any gaming industry and that gives India all the more potential to be the front runner. We are the youngest country with an increasing per capita income, which makes us a feasible gaming nation. The last few years have been rather evolutionary for Indian gaming. The primary reason for this industry to boom has been the support from the families of the players. Endemic brands like HyperX have joined forces and cre-ated several competitive avenues and opportunities that create positivity and constructive engagements within the community. Speaking of the gaming market in India, brand support and allied businesses are booming with the increase in demand levels. This demand rise can be at-tributed to rising income levels, adoption of new tech-nology, world level tournaments, classy infrastructure and increase in internet penetration. People have started looking at gaming quite liberally and are willing to spend money to get an immersive experience. The impact was a significant growth in the number of quality players in the country.EVishal Parekh,
