siliconindia | | June 20224Traditionally, a firm's success has been accredited to an employer friendly workplace. Nonetheless, it never happens by chance or by force. It's a process, with various elements, where employees can do the best of their capabilities and creative skills. In some cases, it would be the result of a good leader, and in others, it's more of an insti-tutional planning and careful nurturing. However, the requirements have changed significantly over time. Pandemic storms that paralyzed the country's manufacturing and ser-vices in almost every industry including the electronics segment. Neverthe-less, the industry is finally back on its trajectory of growth. By 2025, India aims to achieve a GDP of $5 trillion and a digital economy of $1 trillion. Since electronics underpin manufacturing, the demand for electronic prod-ucts will rise to $400 billion by 2025. Electronics startups and manufac-turing companies have accomplished sustainable success. Shifting to full-time remote staff, discovering how best to support employees' well-being, managing a hybrid workforce, and approaching legal concerns around the Covid-19 vaccine have done the magic. These firms have also now slowly moved back to working from office given the nature of the industry. It is important to have a set of clear organizational core values that are communicated effectively and discussed with the employees so that they feel part of it. Leadership and management style that encourages teamwork, open and honest communication is vital to creating a positive feeling in the workplace. Open and honest communication also means that regular audits are taken to evaluate how people are interacting with each other, feedback is welcomed and taken on board, and opportunities for social interaction are enabled. Most importantly, making employees more than just the term, and part of the innovations and inventive ideas, has become a popular want amongst the fresh-out-the-college minds, who want to make a difference or be a part of something big.Do let us know what you think.Emmanuel Christi DasEditoreditor@siliconindia.comMaking a DifferenceEditorial Vol 11 · Issue 03 · June 2022 Publisher Alok Chaturvedi Editor Emmanuel Christi Das Editorial Team Aveek Pal Chaudhuri Hima P M Mandvi Singh GM - Sales & Marketing Rohit Kumar Advertising Managers Editorial queries editor@siliconindia.com To subscribe Visit https://www.siliconindia.com/subscribe/ or send email to subscription@siliconindia.com Cover price is Rs.150 per issue.
