The first unit of Kushal Group, under the name of Kushal Polysacks Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 1999, at Jhalda, West Bengal. Since then the group has expanded manifold, growing its manufacturing capacity of Packaging bags from 20 Lac bags per month to 300 Lac bags per month as of March 2009. In 2004, the group entered the cement sector, setting up manufacturing unit at Purulia, West Bengal for manufacturing Port Land Slag Cement. Presently the products of the cement unit have become established brand names in the market. Apart from the open market, the manufactured cement is also being consumed by various government departments like K.M.D.A., Irrigation, P.W.D, Municipalities and Gram Panchayats. In the year 2005, the group ventured in Iron & Steel Sector by acquiring a Blast Furnace Plant, at Bellary, Karnataka, in an open auction of D.R.T.

Naresh Kumar Agarwal, Managing Director, Kushal Group of Companies: Naresh has more than 15 years of management experience with a very successful track record of building and managing manufacturing industries. He is responsible for growth of the group from being a manufacturer of HDPE / PP Woven sacks (Packing bags of Cement, Ferti lizer etc.) to engaging in the Cement Manufacturing and Iron & Steel Industries, and thus building the employee strength of around 3000 workers. He has also been a part of various Public offices as well as different Forums and Chamber of Indian Industries.
