2: The ability to focus on exactly what we do at any given time is a great gift. But it can be cultivated by not letting the mind wander towards old mistakes or future rewards. This will make us better listeners, communicators, programmers, husbands, wives and in fact anything we desire. It is a total win-win situation that will make psychiatrists jobless. Can the East afford to loose this grand old idea for a "possible" future reward?

Taking a chance on winning is what drives most economic endeavors. There is no doubt about it. It is well explained and we will leave it at that.

There is also another driving force that is subtle and let us hope humanity never looses it. It is the ability to focus on a task for the sake of accomplishing it. Most cutting edge discoveries were done by people with a relentless passion for what they are doing. From Einstein to the soldier who sacrifices his/her life, it is not about rewards at all. The job itself is their reward !

The ability to focus on exactly what we do at any given time is a great gift.
