About C-DAC
C-DAC is a Scientific Society of Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.
C-DAC,
Hyderabad is a Knowledge centre with the components of Knowledge Creation, Knowledge
Dissemination and, Knowledge Application to grow in the areas of Research &
Development, Training and Business respectively. The R & D areas of the centre
are Embedded and Hardware Techonologies (Ubiquitous Computing, WSN, Embedded and
VLSI), System Software (e-Security, , U-Security, Grid Computing) and Web
Technologies [e-Learning, U-Learning, Supply Chain Management(SCM)].
In
line with these R&D strengths, the centre also offers Post Graduate level diploma
courses in the areas of Network Security, Embedded Systems, VLSI, System Software
Development, Advanced Business Computing etc
C-DAC courses fill the
Academia-Industry gap and make the Students ready-to-use workforce for the IT
industry. Thus, is a right choice to fulfill one’s zeal for knowledge and is a
right place for providing high quality training and producing highly skilled
graduates.
The students of C-DAC, Hyderabad, are well accepted by IT
industry which is evident from the Campus placements and also an excellent reputation
C-DAC, Hyderabad students enjoy in the Industry.
Diploma in Embedded
Systems Design - DESD
Course Focus
Realizing the growth of embedded
systems in day-to-day life and the need for trained manpower in this promising area,
C-DAC has launched a Diploma in Embedded Systems Design (DESD) for Engineers in
computers, electronics and IT. Embedded Systems is a unique field, where engineers
need to have sound knowledge in hardware and software design. Keeping this aspect in
view, C-DAC has designed the diploma giving equal emphasis to hardware and software,
enabling engineers to face challenges in the design and development of state of the
art embedded systems. The latest curriculum includes a module on wireless embedded
systems design, specifically focusing on wireless technologies and Wireless Sensor
Networks (WSN).
Course Structure
Diploma in Embedded Systems Design
(DESD) is a 22 weeks full-time course consisting of 7 modules, an industry relevant
project and a seminar. Daily sessions comprise two hours of lecture followed by four
hours of lab work.
DESD Courses offered at 8 centres in India which are,
Bengalooru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Noida, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, DOEACC
