BANGALORE: Since employers don't have the time or resources to interview everyone, they are always looking for ways to pick out candidates as quickly as possible. So, to make those few seconds count, here are ways to make your resume stand out, as reported by Devashish Chakravarty of QuezX.com
Make experience count
Job seekers should make sure that they don’t use adjectives to describe how fabulous they are. Instead use the opportunity to highlight only job achievements and relevant skills. Additionally candidates should use bulleted points to cover important ground which is measurable rather than putting across general statements.
Since experience counts in every possible way, benchmarking each achievement becomes an important aspect that will maximize your hiring potential.

Reflect the requirement
Most often than not job seekers fail to understand the exact details of the job description and highlight irrelevant information on resume that fails to impress employers. In case of this situation, job seekers need to do thorough research and break up the requirements into three sets of skills, which will give a better impression for the hiring mangers as well as keep your job prospects on the hunt.
Game the technology
Most of the large recruiters use applicant tracking software to manage their recruitment workload and on most occasions the database goes through the process and selects the best. Since the database selects on the criteria of key words the job seekers must ensure that the resume contains all the key words relevant to you and commonly used in the industry where applying. Additionally, the candidates should make sure they get the terminology right with respect to the target company.

Don't Be a Risk
All your past work experience like your designation, job chances, qualification may post a potential risks for the employer, who may assume that you may not last too long in the job being offered. So in order to keep this away from affecting your job prospects, candidates should make sure that they don’t  stress upon those aspects of your career that convey greater risk to the recruiter.
Fade Out The Past
Do you have tons of experience that you are trying to highlight in pages on your resume? Well you need to re-consider this decision because your resume is not meant to be a balanced autobiography.
So job seekers should mainly focus on recent roles and experiences and fade out large portions of the past into 1-2 lines each. Providing long information that run into pages might just be immaterial and spoil your job prospects.
Learn from Google
There are thousands of sample resumes, which job seekers can refer to on the Google that will ensure that your resume is headed in the right direction.  So to make the resume standout among the crowd, job seekers need to organize the more important sections and achievements accordingly to ensure that it catches the eye of the employers.
