PrintBindaas is India's leading web based design and print platform. Within a short period of operations, it is already shipping out 1000+ orders a month.

By using Internet as a media of transaction, reduce the overall operational costs and making the design and print services more affordable to the growing small to medium size organizations and also small business owners.

Our vision is to be one of the most efficient, creative and print utilities in the country. We support businesses from the SMB to the Fortune 500 by offering on-demand printing capability.

The company was founded in the year 2010 and the online print platform was launched in the month of May 2011.

Most Critical Decision
When I decided to start Printbindaas in 2010, printing and Ecommerce were all new to me. Also, the industry is still in a very nascent stage and customers are not used to order print or creative services through the portal.

Two most critical decisions for us were
-    raise sufficient funding
-    be flexible and learn along the way
To raise funding, I put together a business plan and looked for investors. Got the venture boot-strapped before I quit my job at SAP; also, earlier this year raised seed funding.

Initially my business plan covered only SME customers and professionals. Once we launched our portal, I realized that there is a big gap in corporate print buyer expectations and the print providers as the print industry is largely un-organized.
We launched a corporate portal to help automate the print procurement. Within a short period we have acquired 6 customers which has a great positive impact on our top line and bottom line.
Doing things differently
I am happy with our progress and the space we are in and believe we are still just scratching the surface.

However, if I have to rebuilt company from scratch all over again, I will start even earlier than this.
Motivating employees
In a start up it is very important to have a motivated team, which performs to its full potential. From productivity and profitability to recruiting and retention, hardworking and happy employees lead to triumph. Two things we have adhered to

Communication: As things have been very dynamic through the journey; a clear vision and action plan ensure that all " players" are focused on the same end-result.

Celebrate: Achieving goals and surpassing milestones deserve credit.
Making right decisions
We follow “Blue Ocean strategy” for all our planning and decisions. We believe as the space is currently been defined in the country there are no right and wrong answers, being innovative is the key.
Advice
Believe in what you do.It is rare that you are lucky the first time; however there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Be flexible and keep learning.
