About Nanakram Bhagwandas Science College & P.G.Center :

NANAKRAM BHAGWANDAS SCIENCE COLLEGE & P.G. CENTER. Agarwal Siksha Samiti established N.B.Science College in the year 1954. It is one of the oldest and reputed Aided Private Degree college in the old city of Hyderabad . It has a glorious past and a bright and promising future. It started with under graduate courses in B.Sc, offering M.P.C; B.Z.C.(EM) and B.Z.C.(TM), later B.Sc. Computer Science with M.P.Cs. combination was started in the year 1991-1992. The P.G.Center was established by starting M.Sc. Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) in the year 1995-1996. Later MCA was started in the year 2000-2001 . Thus in our relentless pursuit of excellence, we have started new courses and a P.G.Center emerged

Nanakram Bhagwandas Science College & P.G.Center have well qualified, experienced faculty, many of whom are Doctorates. They are involved in research and presented papers in both National and International Seminars. Some of our faculty members have given invited talks for Academic Staff College O.U. We provide excellent infrastructure and lab facilities to the students. We offer N.C.C and N.S.S. Good number of our students participated in the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations at State Level and National Level.

The funds from the University Grants Commission(UGC) under the 'College Development Programme' and 'Merged Schemes' in the XI Plan have a tremendous impact on the devlopment of infrastructure of our college. These schemes includes

1. College with relatively higher proportion of SC/ST/OBC and Minorities,
2. Special grant for enhancement of intake capacity in colleges (iniatives for capacity building),
3. Establishment of UGC Network Resource Center,
4. Equal Opportunity Centre in Colleges,
5. Remedial coaching for SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer) & Minorities, and
6. Career & Counseling Cell.
      These grants not only help in developing the infrastructure for the institution, but also meets the financial requirements of the needy students.

Aims & objectives (MCA)

• With an aim to impart computer education to keep abreast with the explosion of knowledge base in formation Technologies, the P.G.Course of MCA was started in the year 2000-2001
• The main objective of starting MCA is to provide an opportunity to youngsters seeking computer related skills at the highest-level i.e. Postgraduate Level.
• To provide excellent infrastructural facilities for the students to acquire skills matching international standards.
• To provide challenging and satisfying academic environment to both the teaching faculty and students.
• To constantly update our facilities to the demands of IT industry.
• To nurture interaction with the industry for the placement of our students after the completion of MCA Course.
• To invite prominent academic and industrial personalities to give popular seminar talks to the students to motivate them to achieve highest goals.

MCA Course Details : The College offers 3 years Master's Degree Course in Computer Applications (MCA), affiliated to Osmania University and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi.

The First, Second & Third year of MCA, are divided into two semesters each.

Admission Procedure

Candidates seeking admission into the 3 year Master's Degree of Computer Applications should have passed any Bachelor's degree with 45% marks and MCA Common Entrance Test (I-CET) conducted by the University.

15% supernumerary seats have been earmarked for foreign citizens who have successfully completed their under graduate studies.
