New Delhi: mydala.com, a group buying, social commerce portal offering city-specific deep discount deals, has crossed three--million-subscriber mark. Incepted in 2009, its constantly growing and has expanded to nine cities, besides offering pan-India deals that are valid anywhere in the country. It covers more than seven verticals, including restaurants, health and beauty, travel, lifestyle, fashion, home and baby, and gadgets. It is racked 115th most popular website in India and number one group buying site in the country by Alexa, a web-information and traffic rankings company. The company is generating traffic of more than 2,50,000 visitors every day. The company has raised funding of 9 crores from renowned PE financiers Info Edge and 1.1 crore by founder of CX Partners, Ajay Relan and Jayanta Basu. Anisha Singh, Founder and CEO of mydala.com, said, "We owe our success to all our subscribers and well-wishers who have continuously supported us and recommended us to friends and family. We have sold more than 3,50,000 vouchers till date, through our partnerships with more than 8,000 popular merchants across India." The company has the highest number of over 1200 concurrent deals in the group buying space. Started with just four employees in 2009, they are now grown to a team of over 60 people and continue to hire more to identify, negotiate and source more value-adding deals for their customers. Launched in November 2009, mydala is a group buying portal that offers deals 40-97 percent off on the nest stuff to do, eat, see and buy in major cities across India. "The recent funding has been very timely for us as we move into the next phase and pioneering more innovative concepts in online buying in India. We are confident of getting into India's Top 100 sites by end of this month," she adds. Prior to founding mydala, Anisha was the Founder and CEO of Kinis Solutions, providing customized e-learning solutions to clients across United States and India. She began her career on Capitol Hill where she worked closely with National Women's Business Association in Washington DC and then Cenra Software in Boston. She is currently on the board of Indus Women Entrepreneurs, a platform for South Asian women leaders in the U.S. Apart from managing mydala, Anisha is also an active participant in various conferences across U.S. and India. She has a Masters degree in political communication and MBA in Information Systems from American University in Washington DC.
