HYDERABAD: iLabs, a technology incubation company, has commissioned Jurong Consultants India, the Indian arm of Singapore-based Jurong Group, to build a state-of-the-art technology center in Hyderabad. The four corporate office blocks and a media center that would be housed in the five-acre site in Madhapur are expected to be completed by January 2005. According to iLabs Chairman Srini Raju, the centre—one of the first of its kinds in the country—is estimated to cost Rs 45 crore and would house some of ventures that iLabs is either incubating or promoting. “These include Cyber Net, Xius, DQ Entertainment, 3E and iVision and possibly some new ones also,” Raju said adding that, “The media center would be a piece of art and is specifically being built to meet the needs of the media related technologies which do not fall under any other category.” The first occupants of the media center are likely to be an animation company DQ Entertainment and a news agency iVision.
