iKoa Corp sets up India Development Centre

HYDERABAD: iKoa Corporation, a Silicon Valley based semiconductor start-up, will soon set up its India Development Centre in Hyderabad. Funded by leading semiconductor venture capitalists, iKoa Corporation is developing a disruptive semiconductor array technology to deliver advanced solutions to connect mobile consumer devices. iKoa Corporation would leverage its competitive advantage to deliver semiconductor products targeting growing market opportunities such as High Definition audio and video and the ubiquitous reach of wireless broadband internet. "This development centre will engage in multiple development activities, including leading-edge IC design, design automation, system software and application engineer," the release added. iKoa Corporation, formerly Arithmosys, Inc., is an early stage semiconductor startup in stealth mode. The company is led by semiconductor industry veterans and backed by top-tier venture capital. iKoa Corporation's founding team includes Prakash Agarwal (President/CEO), Shridhar Mukund (Chief Technology Officer), Clement Leung (VP Engineering), Professor Christos Kozyrakis (Stanford University), and Professor Roland Priemer (University of Illinois). The technology team has strong ties with leading-edge research at Stanford University, University of Illinois. iKoa is developing a disruptive method for building low-power silicon systems, cost effectively at 65nm and below.
