BANGALORE: In order to expand its presence globally, iGate Solutions is foraying into Canadian market after Japan, the company said. The company, which has over 250 employees servicing the Canadian market, expects to double its headcount by next year. Besides focusing on information technology (IT) services and contact center operations, the company is targeting the Canadian market with its iTOPS (Integrated Technology and Operations) solutions in finance and accounting (F&A), insurance, and banking. Recently, iGate has signed two major deals in Canada — one a multi-year iTOPS deal in the F&A space and the other in IT services for a leading financial services company, according to the company’s statement. Its Chief Sales Officer, Sanjay Sengupta said, “Canada is a rapidly growing market for iGATE. We have seen a lot of traction around our consulting, IT, and F&A outsourcing services." “The iTOPS model has been well received in the Canadian market. We are in active discussions with a number of global corporations on iTOPS-related initiatives in the BFSI space. With iTOPS gaining acceptance in the marketplace, we are confident of expanding our presence in Canada over the next 12 months,” he added.
