iBall aims 3 percent of India's mobile handset market in six months

Bangalore: iBall maker Best IT World, a Mumbai-based company, which recently introduced mobile phones, is aiming to capture three percent of the country's mobile handset market over the next six months. According to Sandeep Seksaria, Deputy General Manager (sales), Best IT World, the company's newly launched mobile phones are its USP. "Over the next six months we aim to capture three per cent of the country's mobile handset market", said Seksaria. In India there are more than 700 million mobile subscribers and around 20 million mobile handsets are sold every month, as per industry estimates. The company has rolled out six models of iBall mobile handsets in the Orissa market- Shaan, Waterproof, Sleec, Flip, Posh and Senior. The price of these mobile phones ranges from 1250 to 7000. It is also planning to launch its Touch model in the next 15 days. iBall is the first brand in the Indian mobile phone market to come out with a very clear cut segment strategy for mobile phones, claims the company.
