Gurgaon: Gurgaon-based provider of online PC repair and sales services, eTechies.in is on the verge of closing a series A round of fund of $3 to $5 million. Rohit Chaudhary, Co-Founder &CEO, eTechies denied disclosing the names of the investors. Previously, the company had received seed funds in November 2010, from Ex-Microsoft MD, Rajan Anandan. The funds would be used to set up new centers in major metros, onbroad key resources, invest in technology and expand their call centre.

Chaudhary says, “We have exhibited consistent growth and positive traction and address a very basic problem, thus VCs find us operating in a very interesting space. eTechies is setting new benchmarks in consumer service/support and repairs. We recently launched an online tool for the consumers to get a free estimate on PC/Laptop repair and spares/parts respectively. We aim to build upon the tool and also introduce utilities and tools that further help the user base.”

Prior to founding eTechies, Chaudhary was the Vice President, Technical Solutions Group at Quatroo BPO Solutions, the General Manager-International Sales and Marketing at Moser Baer, and the General Manager at Wipro BPO. He was also the Profit Center Hear at Olam International and Senior Officer-Marketing at Amul. The team of eTechies consists of Direct Sales, Inside Sales, Technical Workforce, Software Specialists, Product and IT Consultants and adds around 25 new resources per month.

The market size of PCs in India was predicted at 13.2 million units and eTechies.in is eying this as a great opportunity. Chaudhary says, “Lack of an organizational approach leads to unprofessional and untrained service delivery, thereby compromising on quality. The competition is driven more on price points, than on qualitative definitive ‘peace-of-mind’ resolution to the consumer. We aim to guide and educate the customer to take one’s service requirements as seriously as they do with regards to their other strategic business decisions.”
