eInfochips to set up design center at Pune

MUMBAI: Ahmedabad-based ASIC design services provider eInfochips is setting up a new design centre at Pune with an investment of $1.5 million. The centre would focus on ASIC and embedded solutions in the area of storage area networking (SAN), wireless communications and consumer multimedia applications, the company said in a release. The centre would be operational by October 2004. EInfochips would also execute two major design centre outsourcing projects for ASIC and embedded US customers from the centre, it said, adding the company plans to ramp up the team strength to about 60 engineers in the first year of operations.
