Bangalore: VCs in U.S., seem to be quite optimistic about the investment trends in 2011. However, most of their investments would be confined to U.S. and the next preferred destination out of U.S. will be China, with 26 percent voting for it. India on the other hand witnesses a low interest as just 18 percent nodded to loosen the purse strings on the Indian ventures. The findings are based on a recent Venture Capital Predictions Survey, conducted by DowJones Venturesource and National Venture Capital Association. The reactions from the numerous VCs and CEOs reveal an acute interest towards consumer internet followed by Cloud-based software, Healthcare and Telecom. As many as 82 percent showed their faith in web 2.0 while running slightly behind is the cloud with 80 percent showing their interest to bet on it. Outbidding VC expectations are CEOs' expectations in terms of raising money. While 51 percent VCs have a positive note towards investment, 58 percent CEOs are bullish to raise capital next year.
