Bangalore: Yos Technologies, a Bangalore based software products and solutions company has released the latest version of its flagship product Yos Record Management System (Yos RMS). Yos RMS is a unique Smart Card based solution for managing Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient records. Yos RMS allows all the hospital records to be maintained online for better space utilization. It also enables exchange of data across various locations of the hospital network safely and efficiently and also helps in clinical analysis of data for planning as well as for research. Its light weight architecture and document oriented database keeps resource requirements to minimum while being extremely scalable. According to Vijaya Verma, Founder & CEO of Yos Technologies, hospitals typically need to maintain in-patient files for many years for regulatory reasons. Ability to retrieve the records in reasonable amount of time to the satisfaction of patients and the doctors and consultants is a major challenge for the hospital if they are being maintained on paper. Yos RMS comes with support for various options including ICD-10 codes. Deployed in more than 30 hospitals, the Record Management System developed by Yos is a pay-as-you-grow solution that is tuned to the existing processes of the hospitals, while being flexible enough to cater to future changes. Yos also offers digitization services where needed - this enables gradual adoption of the solution, with doctors having the choice of continuing their current (writing on paper) process initially, with incremental movement to viewing records online and then making entries online as their confidence increases, said Verma. Some of the key features of Yos RMS include smartcard as the Hospital ID card, with a linked Personal Health Account created for each patient; the entire IP hospitalization file, tagged and uploaded into the server and the Emergency Care information on the card enabling the patient to get Emergency care services at any of the Yos connected hospitals.
