Year's last trading session opens with a bang

Mumbai: The last trading session of 2007 opened on a high on Indian stock markets, with a key index inching towards another all-time high.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened with a huge margin of 116 points at 20,323.28 points against the previous close of 20,206.95.
Within a few minutes of the good opening, it gained over 100 points to reach 20,484.28 points.
The broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 6,095.00 points with a gain of 15 points against the previous close of 6,079.55.
The market breadth is strong at both the bourses.
