Yahoo to shut down Alta Vista and some other sites

Bangalore: Alta Vista, an esteemed search site gets its shutters to be closed along with a few more websites by Yahoo because of its underperformance, as stated by AMIR EFRATI.
Delicious, a social bookmarking service, All the Web search site and Online News Aggregator Buzz are presumed to be affected by these moves to the maximum as was posted on web in an internal company slide.
"Part of our organizational streamlining involves cutting our investment in underperforming," commented a Yahoo spokesman who also validated the authenticity of the slide.
