YBL Q3 net profit up 191 percent

BANGALORE: Yokogawa Blue Star Limited (YBL), a process automation company, has reported anincrease in net profit for the quarter and nine months ended 31st December 2002. Net profit for the quarter ended 31st December 2002 stood at Rs 85 lakh as against a loss of Rs 93 lakh in the corresponding quarter in the previous year, showing a growth of 191 percent. Net profit for nine months ended 31st December 2002 stood at Rs 2.34 crore vis-à-vis a loss of 1.97 crore in the corresponding period. Net sales during the quarter stood at Rs 24.88 crore as against Rs 29.09 crore in the corresponding quarter. Company reported a turnover of Rs 87.61 crore for the nine months ended 31st December 2002. The company stated the reasons for lower sales as reschedulement of several orders/contracts to the last quarter.
