CHENNAI: Buoyed with the success of its facilities in India, UK based IT Services Company Xansa will hike its workforce by 7000 in India, Alistair Cox, Xansa chief executive said. "At present we have about 3,000 employed in our outsourcing centers in Pune, Noida and Chennai and the strength will go up to 10,000 in about five years as the Business Process Outsourcing in India is doing extremely well," Cox said. He also said the firm will adopt two fishing villages near the company’s Chennai center to help rehabilitate Tsunami victims. Our employees in UK and India have donated about 50,000 pounds and we will contribute an equal amount to assist in rebuilding the local communities, he said adding Xansa’ clients including Yorkshire Water were planning to contribute either money or assistance for the victims welfare.
