Xansa India to double headcount to 10,000

Mumbai: Xansa India, is looking to double its headcount to 10,000 and invest additional 25 million pounds over the next three-four years. "We are planning to double our employee strength from the current 5,000 to 10,000 and also looking at putting in additional 25 million pounds by 2010," announced Xansa Chief Executive Alistair Cox. on the margins of the India Leadership Forum organized here by the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM). According to Cox, Xansa is one of the longest serving European IT companies in India and India is one of our most important outsourcing markets in the world. He added that the additional investment would be utilized to ramp up the firm's three facilities in India at Noida, Pune and Chennai. In particular, Xansa plans to increase the staff strength at the Noida centre to 6,000 from the current 1,600. "We are very focused on India not only because of its low cost advantage but also due to the broader resource pool and the flexible nature of the market," Cox added.
