FREMONT, CA: XDx Inc., a developer of a molecular diagnostic to test the post-surgical rejection of heart transplants, said it has hired Vikram Jog as its first chief financial officer. "Vikram has a wealth of industry experience and well-developed relationships, both within the industry and the financial community," Pierre Cassigneul said in a release. Most recently, Jog was the vice president of finance at Celera Genomics and Celera Diagnostics, both divisions of Applera Corp. Before that, he was vice president of planning and corporate controller at Applera. Previously, Jog held similar positions at Hercules Inc. In late 2004, XDx raised $20 million of Series D money, which it expected to use towards the commercialization of its first product, Cardiac AlloMap, through the creation of a sales force and implementation team to cover all of the 252 transplant hospitals in the U.S.
