World's Most Desirable Women

Bangalore: Men's lifestyle website AskMen.com starts off the year by publishing a list of its '99 Most Desirable Women. It is annually the sites largest feature which helps to signal shifts in the qualities men are looking for in their dream girls and celebrity crushes. It's often said that Hollywood is a young woman's game but this time Colombian Actress Sofia Vergara a 39-year-old "Modern Family" star and mother to a 19 year old proved this notion to be wrong by beating women half of her age from across the world to nab the top spot, as reported by Ann Oldenburg, editor of USA Today.
Vergara proved that age is just a number and this year right behind her is model Kate Upton, followed by "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara, model Miranda Kerr (4#) and singer Nicki Minaj(5#) and actresses Emma Stone (#6) and Scarlett Johansson (#7).
The most perennial favorites like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie who made for the list 10 years in a row were left off the list entirely in this year and instead there are highlights of a new generation of leading women, including singer Adele, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and George Clooney's girlfriend, Stacy Keibler. "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively the last year's most desirable woman dropped down to 32nd position this year. For the second time in a row Television actresses dominated the list, with 22 TV stars claiming spots. This year's report shows that men have grown tired of the former paragons of desirability and are looking out for fresh faces.
