World's First Full 3D Experience on phone with LG Optimus 3D


Bangalore: After ruling the cinema theatres, TV sets, computers and cameras, 3D is all set to explore another world with its entry into handset. LG has launched the Optimus 3D for the Indian market recently. It has Android operating system v2.2 Froyo (upgradable to v2.3 Gingerbread) and uses the LG 3D user interface. The internal memory of 8GB and is expandable up to 32GB. LG Optimus 3D provides the world?s first full 3D experience covering the full spectrum from recording to viewing and sharing 3D content. It also comes with 3D-enabled apps such as Gallery, 3D Guide, games and YouTube 3D. Users can view YouTube?s 3D channel and even share 3D content to a 3D TV via HDMI out. Optimus 3D has special features like glasses-less autostereoscopic 3D touchscreen and dual-cameras on the back for 3D photo capture and video recording. Dual lense camera enables users to capture any moment in true 3D, which can then be viewed immediately on the 4.3 inch WVGA glasses-free display. It has a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, a 1 GHz dual-core TI processor, dual 5 MP cameras as well as 2D 720p HD video recording. Phones will be available in India by September for 37,000, which translates to approximately $806 at today's exchange rates. Optimus 3D is considered as the world's first 3D-enabled Smartphone though Spice had launched a 3D phone earlier in India called M-67 3D for just 4, 299. The Spice phone had only a 3D screen and did not have the ability to capture 3D pictures and videos. On the other side HTC EVO is also set to launch its 3D phones in India this year.
