World Leaders And Their Views At Davos 2013


Rahul Bajaj

The Chairman of the second largest two-wheeler manufacture in India, Mr. Rahul Bajaj also attended the Davos Meet 2013.

He was one of the main leaders from the India Inc. He was more concerned about the taxes on oil and gold.

In one of his statements as reported by ‘beyondbrics’, he said “The government should raise taxes to 100 per cent. Only then you’ll see a real effect on gold imports.”

Marissa Mayer

Marissa Ann Mayer is the present CEO and President of Yahoo. In 2012, she was declared as the most powerful business woman by Fortune Magazine.

Her statement at the recent meet showed Yahoo’s focus. She said that Yahoo has always been a user friendly company and now it will be focusing into the media sector and also expects good partners in the market.

Sunil Bharti Mittal

Sunil Bharti Mittal, the Indian Telecom Mogul also represented the India Inc Team.

At the Davos Meet 2013, he said that the African Government should spend more on their infrastructure in order to develop their economic growth.

Lawrence Summers

Prof. Lawrence Summers who had served as the 71st United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Bill Clinton was also one of the renowned economist in the recent WEF Meet in Davos.

Mr. Summers uphold several factors on which the U.S. Government should look into to improve issues related to healthcare and education.
