Women take smarter decisions while buying cars.

Bangalore: It's said that "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" and most of them believe that men as Martians do hardcore negotiating and women pay upwards of $1,300 extra to avoid wrangling over the price of a car; as per Brad Tuttle. But recently a new study conducted on behalf of the car lease swapping site "Lease Trader" changed the notion showing that women are more likely than men to ask tough questions and be more thorough during the car-buying process.
Women buyers while buying cars always look for value, reliability and practicality. The Lease Trader reviewed that while taking a car on lease from the previous owner around 67.2 percent of women do proper inspection about a vehicle's accident history, safety performance and overall functionality before the transfer, in contrast to 54.5 percent men who even bother to go for an inspection and even if they do then they focus more on aesthetics, technology, driving and engine performance.
The difference is clearly noticeable in the Generation Y, as most of the young men just blindly opt for a vehicle and they always prefer impractical cars and just around 42.3 percent of men in the age of 21 to 30 go for complete inspection whereas 78.2 percent of women buyers in the same age group ask the right questions while inspecting. Some believe that women are less confident and less prone to risk taking so they do a rigorous inspection before the buying. But the truth is women are more careful and they think properly about how they are going to use their car; they just want to avoid getting stuck with some problem.
