Bangalore: China’s plans on establishing a relatively large manly space laboratory by 2020 will be accelerated in 2012 with the launch of 21 rockets and 30 satellites into space.

China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) had launched its space station project earlier.  The first crew to fly to the Chinese space laboratory could lift off within three months with the launch of the planned flight Shenzhou 9 to the Tiangong, the space lab module.

China will also export its first remote sensing satellite to Venezuela this year as a part of programme.

While these are plans for china, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced launch of its Radar Image Satellite Microwave 1 (RI Sat1), the first Indian satellite equipped with a radar system this year. The new satellite will help in mapping the terrains of the country. Apart from RI Sat 1, Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSVL) Mk-III flight will reach the cryogenic state around June 2012.
