Wireless networks can help forecast calamities
Hubli: Wireless technology expert B L Desai has said that path-breaking research in wireless networking helps forecast natural disasters like tsunami, earthquakes and landslides, reports Times of India.
Speaking at a seminar on 'Wireless sensor networks and applications', organized by BVB Engineering College he said that
the technology would be useful to individuals and the society at large. Experts like Vijay Kumar B P, P R Patil, Vaishali Paitankar, Ashok Chikaraddi, S V Seeri and Ashok Shettar also spoke at the event. Over 89 faculty members and hundreds of students attended the seminar sponsored by AICTE.
