Wirefoot India's Internet Retail Vision 2010

Gurgaon: Wirefoot India Technology organized the IRV (Internet Retail Vision) 2010, an event focussed on promoting the internet retail in India. The IRV2010 witnessed participation of retailers and internet savvy corporates across the country and was commenced by the leaders of the e-tail industry.
The event was focused at exploring the current Internet Retail scenario in India, its potential and the way ahead to exploit this potential in a manner positive to the country's retail industry. There were insightful talk sessions, case studies and presentations by the veterans and bigwigs of the internet retail industry in the country like Sundeep Malhotra (CEO, Homeshop18), Amarinder Dhaliwal (VP, Times Internet), Cory York ( Country Director, Novator), Anil Sharma (GM, Retail, Ferns N Petals), Arindam Bose ( Director, Wirefoot), Pearl Uppal (CEO, Fashion and You), Kahsyap Deorah (Founder, Chaupati Bazaar), Anurag Batra (Chaorman, Exchange4Media Group) and Mahendra Swaroop (President, IVCA). The panel was a well defined structure of leaders from industries contributing to the smoothly functioning internet retail cycle and included people like Ratish Nair(AD-Magnet), VT Bhardwaj (Sequoia Capital), Amol Mahamuni ( IBM Websphere Commerce), SK Dash (Videocon), Sugato Bose(Art d'nox), and Vivek Nayak ( CC Avenues) The discussion's moderator was Anurag Gupta (MD, DGM India) who threw solution seeking, relevant questions on etail investment, technology, building consumer trust, payments methods, logistics etc to the panelists.
The Internet Retail Vision 2010 was highly appreciated for providing an opportunity to address the issues and concerns faced by the Indian online retail industry and setting up an actionable to promote its growth. Commenting on the success of the occasion, Ankur Dinesh Garg, CMD, Wirefoot India was quoted as saying "The success of IRV2010 clearly showcases that there is a need of knowledge in the industry and there are many evangelists who are ready to come up and help everyone meet the challenges.
