Wipro to provide testing services to SWIFT

Bangalore: Wipro Technologies has announced that it has entered into a relationship with SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), the global provider of standardized financial messaging services, to provide technical qualification testing services for its SWIFTReady Label program.
Wipro has been selected to provide the technical qualification testing services for over 100 vendor applications that apply to the SWIFTReady Label program every year. As per the agreement, Wipro will perform high end technical qualification testing.
SWIFT operates the SWIFTReady programme to certify business applications and middleware compliance against SWIFT requirements, verify the expertise of SWIFT service providers, and validate security and resilience standards. SWIFT provides standardized and secure messaging services to more than 9000 financial institutions in 209 countries and territories. It enables its users to exchange automated, standardized financial information securely and reliably with a reduction in costs and operational risk and inefficiencies.
"We selected Wipro to perform technical tests on partner applications for the granting of the SWIFTReady labels. Wipro displays the right level of expertise in terms of SWIFT Standards and financial workflows management," said Patrik Neutjens, Head of Partner Management at SWIFT.
C P Gangadharaiah, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Testing Services, Wipro Technologies said, "Wipro, being one of the pioneers of independent testing services for global clients, has made significant investments in developing test specific solutions, methodologies and tools."
The alliance is expected to grow beyond the technical qualification testing in the coming years.
