Wipro partners with BJ's Wholesale Club

Bangalore: Wipro Technologies has entered into a five year agreement with BJ's wholesale club to provide IT data centre and applications management services. Under this agreement, Wipro will migrate BJ's wholesale club (BJ's) mainframe and open systems environment to its state-of-the-art data centre in Omaha, Nebraska, thereby enabling BJ's to streamline their infrastructure solutions, provide operational flexibility and improve applications support while efficiently managing the long-term IT spend.
John A. Polizzi, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, BJ's wholesale club said, "Our agreement with Wipro will help to meet our members' desire for value without sacrificing quality while adapting to changes as we grow."
Through this five year engagement, BJ's may also benefit from Wipro's extensive expertise in providing applications management and support, disaster recovery, enterprise security and compliance services. Bhanu Murthy B M, Senior Vice President, Wipro Technologies said, "We will draw on our extensive experience in transforming retail enterprises across the globe to deliver value to BJ's. We are excited to partner with BJ's, a highly successful retailer in their transformation journey."
