Welsley Clover forays into India

New Delhi: Eyeing at creating new Internet Protocol (IP) technologies for businesses, Canada-based Welsley Clover International has forayed into the Indian market. "In this country we will draw on the local, highly skilled pool of engineers to create new IP-based applications for businesses," said Terry Matthews, Cahirman, Wesley Clover International. The company's India operation will focus on all verticals including hospitality, transportation, healthcare, professional services and retail. The Indian arm, Welsley Clover Solutions (WCSPL), will invest in research development and support services to develop applications for the solutions from associated companies both in the country and across the world. According to Matthews, by early next year in the country, the company is also planning acquisitions in the software development space. WCSPL will be based in Gurgaon and it is also planning to open five to six offices across the country over a period of one year. Wesley Clover International is an investor and manager of investments in technology, real estate and leisure industries.
