WatchGuard to tap SOHO and SMB market

MUMBAI: WatchGuard Technologies, a provider of network security solutions for the growing enterprises, today announced their tie-up with Focus Technology to strengthen and maximize WatchGuard's exposure and market share in the Western region amongst the SOHO and growing enterprise segment. Focus Technology offers the total IT solutions under one roof. Their range of services includes: Project management and consultancy in the field of Information Technology and telecommunication Consultation, planning & implementation for new communication and IT solutions, Computer Networking and Internet & Intranet Solutions. "The key challenge in the SOHO and growing enterprise segment is awareness and availability of products and solutions. Focus Technology has a strong presence in this sector and WG through this tie-up will now enter this untapped security market." Says Ajit Pillai, Country Manager (India), WatchGuard Technologies. As per the third-party figures available, the network security market in India is estimated at around Rs180-200 crores by the year 2007-08 and is growing at about 30-40 percent per annum. He further adds, "Most of the security vendors today offer piece meal solution, where different vendors offer perimeter security solutions. Customer faces the problem of interoperability, scalability and manageability. An integrated solution eliminates all this bottlenecks and leaves a customer in peace and we plan to achieve that through such tie-ups with regional players."
