HYDERABAD: Virtusa, a provider of outsourced software engineering services, plans to invest $11 million in its Advanced Technology Center (ATC) at Hyderabad by March 2004. It is also evaluating the locations for its second ATC in India. "The growth of the company during the last fiscal year, has encouraged us to open another facility," said Krish Canekeratne, Chairman & CEO, Virtusa Corp. The company saw a 50 per cent increase in its revenue during the last year. The Hyderabad Center, which is the second center out of the US after Colombo in Sri Lanka, employs 463 engineers. The company plans to double its manpower in India by 2004. "We will be hiring software engineers and most of our hiring is lateral," noted Canekeratne.
