Virtusa to expand Chennai operations

CHENNAI: Virtusa, a software development and IT services company, plans to expand its Chennai operations. In the next twelve months, it would add 500 software professionals to its existing 100 and 1.2 lakh sqft of office space.
Kris Canekeratne, chairman and CEO, Virtusa, said its new centre would be developed in stages and have a total seating capacity for over 1,500 people.
The Massachusetts-based company has 1,900 employees in all, with 1,100 based in India. Besides Chennai, it has centres in Hyderabad in India, Westborough in the US and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
