Virtusa center receives BS 7799 Certification

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Advance Technology Center of Virtusa Corp, has received the BS 7799 Certification, a global standard for an Information Security Management System, from the British Standards Institution (BSI). The certification covers the management of Information Security in the design, testing and maintenance of software and organization-specific software platform. BS 7799 certification provides independent verification of an organization's compliance with specific standards and procedures concerning the protection and management of sensitive customer information. BS 7799 contains a number of control objectives including Security policy, Organizational security, Asset classification and control, Personnel security, Physical and environmental security, Communications and operations management, Access control, System development and maintenance, Business continuity management and Compliance. Speaking on the occasion, Santanu Paul, general manager, Virtusa (India) Pvt Ltd said, "It gives me great pleasure to announce that Virtusa's Advanced Technology Center has been certified as fully conforming to BS7799.
