Bangalore: ViewSonic is set to enter the mobile market and will soon launch a Windows XP phone VPC08. Even though the news is not official, the device is said to have an Intel ULV-series processor at its core. This handset is a perfect example of merger between PCs and mobile phones. VPC08 has 4.3-inch display, along with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of integrated storage space. The device also slides open vertically to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Apart from that the phone also has a secondary 2-inch display and a keypad outside, making it quicker to dial numbers. The handset is so far restricted to China but may soon be shipped to the rest of the world. The VPC08 is said to cost the equivalent of $800.
