Veraz Launches New Subsidiary in India

NEW DELHI :Veraz Networks, a global provider of carrier-grade, next-generation VoIP solutions, announced the appointment of Yogesh S. Bijlani as its Country Manager Indian Subcontinent to lead the opening of its Veraz Networks Pvt. Ltd. office in New Delhi. With Veraz deployments in India growing, Veraz has expanded its local presence with the New Delhi location for India sales, marketing, and support of local partners, while its Pune location will continue to focus on R&D and customer support. Veraz is one of the few next-generation network vendors to receive certification from the Indian government's Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) for its highly scaleable softswitch and media gateway solution. Bijlani has been an active player in the Indian telecommunications industry for over 15 years. Prior to joining Veraz Networks, Bijlani was the Vice President Sales & Marketing (Indian Subcontinent) at UTStarcom Inc. Before that, he was the Director of Business Development for Wireless Infrastructure (Indian Subcontinent) with Lucent Technologies. He also previously held marketing and sales positions at Nokia Telecommunications and Digital Equipment, based in India.
