Venkatramani to head Cognizant's India operations

Bangalore: Cognizant, the provider of Information Technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services, has tasked S.Venkatramani as the Head of Business for India and Emerging Markets. He brings into the company his 24 years of industry experience including 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
Prior to Cognizant, Ventkatramani has served in one of India's largest IT service organization as the head of the company's India business unit.He also handled the operations and sales across major verticals like Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, telecom, retail, utilities and infrastructure. He was also heading the Oracle Practice and Relationship for six years in that IT company.

R Chandrasekaran, President and Managing Director, Global Delivery, Cognizant said, "We are delighted to welcome Venkatramani to Cognizant. He is a proven leader with deep knowledge of the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets." Venkatramani holds a bachelors degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai, and is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.
