BANGALORE: France-based Valtech has set up its first offshore development facility in Bangalore, without going through the hassle of scouting for land or talent. It is using the premises of software exporter iVega to operate from and has absorbed over 100 employees of the iVega, earlier working on its project. Valtech, on need basis, will also use iVega’s support staff and specific resource pool. The compensation that iVega would get however was not articulated in a press meet held by the company here on Wednesday. The $100-million Valtech offers high end technology solutions based on an iterative development methodology. “Bangalore will provide to be a strategic location for our growing operations with the vast talent pool available in the region. It will also serve as a hub for all our technology research and intelligence for our global operations.” said Jean Yves Hardy, chairman and CEO of Valtech.
