Vallabhdham Temple opened in Connecticut

Connecticut: The Vallabhdham temple, home to the Vaishnav Pushtimarg congregation, was inaugurated in an opening ceremony in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The event included a Purushottam Pratishtha Mahotsav, a special ceremony for the installation of Lord Shri Balkrishnalalji. The festivities which began early morning with a parade to bring the deity into the temple were attended by 1500 followers. The celebration also had some brilliant fireworks. The day was filled with traditional Indian cuisine and singing and dancing. Lord Govardhandharan Shrinathji was brought in a unique convertible car and Lord Balkrishnalalji was brought in a special palanquin carried by devotes. The Lord and Acharyas arrived in a special carpet rolled out for the purpose. The deity of Lord Balkrishnalalji was bathed in Panchamrut which contains milk, yogurt, honey, sugar and ghee. It was followed by a performance of special tilak and aarti ceremony which was carried out by acharya Shri Vallabhlalji, eldest son of HDH Goswami 108 Shri Dwarkeshlalji Maharajshri. The aarti ceremony was followed by tumultuous sound and vibration of 'Nand gher anand bhayo' by everyone in attendance. A special video message of HDH Goswami 108 Shri Dwarkeshlalji Maharajshri was shown.
