Valicert solidifies position in Japanese market

MOUNTAIN VIEW: Valicert, Inc. (Nasdaq:VLCT), a provider of software products that connect companies with their business partners and customers over the Internet, today announced that Mitsui & Co., one of the largest general trading companies in the world, has agreed to become Valicert's Master Agent in Japan. The agreement strengthens Valicert's existing relationship with Mitsui. Under the terms of this agreement, the Trustella Project of Mitsui's IT Service Business Division will provide master sales and account management to support the existing Valicert resellers in Japan, with continued technical support from local Valicert Japan KK personnel. The Trustella Project focuses on providing system-level consultation and solution delivery for business security applications that enable public key infrastructures.
