Vaishnav Parivar Hosts Festivities in Connecticut

Connecticut: The Vaishnav Parivar of Connecticut organized three-day festivities to rejoice Diwali and Annakut Mahotsav at Vallabhdham in Connecticut, reports News India Times. The three day celebration was attended by 1200 according to Vaishnav Parivar circles. Diwali was celebrated with darshan of Lord Govardhannathji and Shri Balkrishnalalji, which was followed by a miraculous display of fireworks and a feast. Devotees and volunteers worked together to prepare for the Annakut Mahotsav. The next day celebration began in the morning with mangla darshan and prasad that was followed by the Govardhan puja ceremony with lunch in the afternoon and Annakut darshan with dinner. Many practices of exotic Vaishnavism followed. A mini Govardhan mountain was placed in front of the deities, and a priest placed the special swaroop of the Lord Krishna on it. Vallabhdham haveli was decorated with colorful lights and devotees and volunteers prepared various delicacies as offerings to the deities, the release from Vaishnav Parivar added. Bhajans and kirtans were also organized. An offering of traditional Govardhan puja and bhog followed. Devotees performed a parikrama of the hill that was followed by lunch prasadam. Devotees laid out Annakut offeringsafter the pooja and special prayers were offered. More than 1,500 people gathered for darshan. Goswami Shri Dwarkeshlalji Maharajshri offered his blessings via video and explained the importance and meaning of this festival.
