US-based eNucleus launches BPO arm in Gujarat

AHMEDABAD: US-based eNucleus Inc. is setting up a Gujarat office as a business process outsourcing (BPO) arm to service clients, primarily in the insurance sector. "There is so much opportunity for us here, not only from an outsourcing perspective but also from an insurance business standpoint," said Robert Steel, executive vice president of eNucleus Inc. eNucleus India, in collaboration with Applitech, a city-based IT solutions company specialising in cutting-edge technological solutions around the world, plans to use India-based resources to carry out functions including software development, business analysis, call centre and other pertinent back office functions. According to Dhruv Desai, president of eNucleus India, "There are 350 insurance companies whose products we are handling in the US. These companies are eager to come to India to tap the market and we want to become their gateway to India." eNucleus Inc. is a next generation application company that delivers proprietary software solutions via licence and manages hosting and ASP (application service provider) formats. It focuses on delivering applications that fulfil core and niche business processes in its target markets of healthcare, education, distribution and financial services. "Our goal is to provide our clients with customised applications that meet the needs of their specific industry, thus allowing our clients the opportunity to quickly implement cost effective solutions and allowing them to run their businesses with maximum efficiency," said Desai.
