WASHINGTON: A California-based dotcom company is opening a 20-person development facility in Bangalore, the "silicon capital" of India. Tasman Networks' development centre in India will enable the company to deliver new enterprise network solutions, it said in a press release. The company sells broadband telecommunications services. The expansion will not only open the doors for many new opportunities in the Asia Pacific and other regions, but will also provide a foundation for future non-engineering operations in India, such as technical support, telemarketing and major account sales. Tasman plans to double employment at its India operation in the next 24 months, the release said. This will not result in any loss of jobs from its San Jose operations, the press release said.
