Bangalore: News of IT salaries rising caught the attention of IT personnel in technology companies, especially when skills that were reported to pay more than core IT certified skills included Ruby on Rails, Android development, and such. However, David Foote, CEO of Foote Partners (a consultancy that monitors labor in the IT industry) said in a PC world report that premium pay for technical skills and certifications has been plummeting for a year now. In fact 82 specific technical skills and 88 different technical certifications have steadily been losing their value, he noted. And although pay was increasing till the end of 2010 for 20 continuous months, the end of 2010 marked its decline.
