UP MLAs, MLCs to get internet facility

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government today decided to extend internet facility to legislators besides increasing honorarium and allowances of members of the state and district consumer forums. "The state cabinet at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati decided to extend internet facility to members of the state assembly and the legislative council with immediate effect," an official spokesman said here. The cabinet also approved a proposal to implement family pension to spouse in case of death of a sitting or former member of the House with effect from March 5, 2010. Besides, it also decided to hike honourarium and allowances of members of the state and chairman and memebers of the district forums by almost two times.
