BANGALORE: Two more Indian IT companies have decided to open shop in Frankfurt to enhance their European operations and service existing clients. Bangalore based Kshema Technologies and iVega Corporation joined 35 Indian IT companies that have set up their marketing offices in Germany's commercial capital, lured by the efforts of the Frankfurt Economic Development Council. "We do have an office in the U.K., but we found that it is easier to cater to our client's needs in Brussels and The Netherlands. Our European revenues contribute 10 per cent, but we should able to double it by next year," Srinath Gopalakrishna of Kshema Technologies said at a news conference. "We are starting off with a marketing office but, going forward, we would consider a software development center at Frankfurt. The infrastructure is good there," Sunil Nair of iVega Corporation said. "Both the deals were struck during our first foray into the BangaloreIT.com 2002, show (Asia's largest IT event), last week," FEDC executive director Sibylle Herforth said. Frankfurt already has the big guns of Indian IT like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Satyam, Cognisant technology solutions, Tata Infotech, ITL, HCL, Larsen and Toubro and Mahindra British Telecom.
